Lynne Tiras, a leader in the meetings industry for
more than twenty years, was one of the first meeting
professionals to attain the Certified Meeting Professional
designation, the hospitality industry's highest acknowledgement
of professionalism. Highly regarded throughout the
industry, Lynne is regularly sought-out as an invited
speaker at local, regional, and international industry
meetings and has authored articles on meeting management
for such publications as Meetings & Conventions,
ConventionSouth, The Meeting Professional, Meetings
in the West and The Houston Business Journal. Lynne
serves on the Board of The Greater Houston Convention & Visitors
Bureau and the Advisory Board for Certain Software,
a Meeting and Event Software Development Company. In
addition, Lynne serves on the Editorial Advisory Boards
of Meetings and Conventions and ConventionSouth publications.
She is also founding member and Past President of the
Alliance of Meeting Management Companies.
Having begun her career at the respected Office of
Continuing Medical Education at Baylor College of Medicine,
Lynne soon decided to take on the challenges associated
with opening her own company. With a foundation of
industry experience, professional ethics and personal
values, International Meeting Managers, Inc. (IMM)
opened its doors in 1986. Initially specializing in
medical meetings management, IMM quickly diversified,
applying its talents and expertise to corporate meetings,
gala events, and a host of association and foundation
meetings and events. As indicated by the continued
growth and success of International Meeting Managers,
Lynne is a driving force in the meeting planning industry. |
