Angela Davis is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with a specialization in Public Relations and a cognate in Behavioral and Social Sciences. In 2009, Ms. Davis successfully completed the Essentials of the Nonprofit Profession Certificate Program offered by the University of Texas and the Texas Society of Association Executives.
Ms. Davis joined the IMM organization as an Association Manager in March 2005. Due to Angela’s exemplary management and leadership skills, she assumed the position of Director of Association Management in October 2005. In April 2007, Angela took on a dual role by assuming additional responsibilities for Meeting and Event Management. In this capacity, Angela has demonstrated her unique ability to pay attention to detail while leading in a visionary manner. By having extensive knowledge and experience in these two areas of IMM’s organization and coupled with her PR background, Ms. Davis has the ability to deliver a full service of IMM’s portfolio.
Prior to joining IMM’s team, Ms. Davis worked for the Office of Development at Houston Baptist University, where she focused on Alumni Relations, Endowment and Planned Giving and the Annual Fund Campaign. Her responsibilities included planning the monthly alumni luncheon along with creating programs to build relationships between the student body and alumni. Prior to working at HBU, Ms. Davis was a Legislative Aide for the Michigan House of Representatives Democratic Leader Dianne Byrum, where she was the liaison between the House Democratic Caucus and various community organizations. Additional responsibilities in this assignment included planning several town hall meetings and fundraising programs for the House Democratic Party.
Ms. Davis recognizes the missions and visions of her clients, which enables her to direct them toward their goals. Ms. Davis’ strategic thinking, organizational knowledge and communication skills, both verbal and written, make her an extraordinary professional in her field.
